Profile Description
Dr. Rampersad graduated from medical school in 2007 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from The University of the West Indies. Two years later, after an internship at the Port of Spain General Hospital and a six-month stint in the Emergency Department at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC), he began his career in Radiology. During the course of his postgraduate training, he was inspired to develop the much-needed Interventional Radiology service at EWMSC. In 2015, he pursued a year-long Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at MCGill University, Canada. Since then he maintains membership with the Canadian Association of Interventional Radiology and the Society of Interventional Radiology in the United States. He is also an executive member of the Radiological Society of Trinidad and Tobago, and serves as a radiology consultant at EWMSC and an associate lecturer at The UWI’s Radiology Unit.
