Profile Description

Dr. Rampersad earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from The University of the West Indies in 2007. Following his graduation, he completed an internship at Port of Spain General Hospital and spent six months in the Emergency Department at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC). He then embarked on a career in Radiology. Throughout his postgraduate training, he recognized the need for an Interventional Radiology service at EWMSC and took the initiative to develop it. In 2015, he completed a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at McGill University in Canada. He is an active member of both the Canadian Association of Interventional Radiology and the Society of Interventional Radiology in the United States. Additionally, Dr. Rampersad serves as an executive member of the Radiological Society of Trinidad and Tobago and works as a radiology consultant at EWMSC, while also holding the position of associate lecturer at The UWI’s Radiology Unit.
