"Dr. Yaquelin Gonzales Ricardo is a seasoned clinical endocrinologist with a remarkable career spanning over 28 years. Commencing as a General Practitioner in the Medical Social Service Staff from 1995 to 1997, Dr. Ricardo then pursued a comprehensive Endocrinology Residency Program from 1997 to 2001, establishing a strong foundation in the field. Notably, she dedicated a substantial period of her career as an Endocrinologist at the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) in Cuba from 2001 to 2014, showcasing her commitment to public health initiatives. In 2014, Dr. Ricardo expanded her horizons by taking on the role of an Endocrinologist Consultant at King Khalid Hospital in Hail, Saudi Arabia, gaining international exposure. Since 2016, she has been making significant contributions as an Endocrinologist Consultant at GPHC and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, concurrently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Universidad Guyana. Fluent in basic French and Arabic, Dr. Ricardo brings a valuable linguistic dimension to her interactions in diverse cultural settings.
